Diatomaceous Earth is used as an anti-caking agent when mixed in animal feed. It is composed of shells from Diatoms that drift to the bottom of the lake bed or ocean and form layers. When these tiny shells pass through the digestive tract, they absorb positively-charged viruses and bacteria, which effectively destroys parasites.
